Mount Aspiring College is a Year 7-13, co-educational state secondary school located in Wanaka, New Zealand. We are proud to be the community school for the Upper Clutha area and also the chosen school for students from throughout New Zealand and from around the world.

With a roll of above 700, we are small enough to know each student well and recognise their individual character and needs, but large enough to offer an extensive curriculum that meets the academic and vocational needs of individual students, while also offering an impressive co-curricular programme.

Our staff and students love this college, and are proud of the ‘MAC’ way. You will find a tremendous sense of warmth and spirit within the school born from the value placed on positive relationships. From our House Day in Week 1 to our impressive prize giving at year-end, we set out to enjoy our successes together.

We aim to ignite passion in every student and develop their potential to be the best that they can be. We believe in self-responsibility and encourage our students to learn from their successes as well as their mistakes. We aim for our students to leave us with the confidence, self-reliance and motivation to make a difference in the world.

The College achieves excellent academic results and makes the most of the environment in its comprehensive Outdoor Education Programme (snowboarding, skiing, snow caving, hiking, rock climbing and kayaking).

Students can benefit from studying in a safe, beautiful environment with an emphasis on assimilation into New Zealand’s way of life, country and culture.
