Guardianship

The guardianship programme is a service set up to provide international students with a 24 hour contact and a reassurance for the natural parents back home.  This service is offered to students who have often enrolled through a different agency but require support which is not offered by their chosen agency.  NZEE New Zealand has a Chinese and Japanese speaking guardian available on request.  Please see below the two guardianship packages on offer.  For more information please contact info@nzee.co.nz

The standard guardianship service offered includes the following:

  • Orientation/advice relating to New Zealand lifestyle, customs and school life
  • Assistance with opening a bank account and buying a mobile phone
  • Visit student at school within first two weeks of study
  • Visit student at school once per term
  • Visit student at homestay house once per term
  • Monthly reports written and sent to agency/parents in home country
  • Regular contact with student by phone/email
  • 24 hour emergency contact for student

The premium guardianship service package includes the following:

  • Arrival airport greeting and transfer to homestay family
  • Orientation/advice relating to NZ lifestyle, customs and school life
  • Assistance with opening a bank account and buying/renting a cellphone
  • Visit student at school within first two weeks of study
  • Visit student at school once per term
  • Visit student at homestay house once per term
  • Monthly reports written and sent to agency in home country
  • Regular contact with student by phone/email
  • 24 hour emergency contact for student
  • Arrangements for doctor/hospital visits when and if required
  • Arrangements/assistance for student visa extension if required
  • Airport transfers when/if student returns to home country for holiday period

 

這項服務的目的是提供支援和指導於新西蘭就讀高中和語文學校的中國學生。該服務能給予家長信心保證,皆因我們有專人負責幫助學童的任何問題,給予他們關於學業、寄宿家庭或其他事項所需要的諮詢。
新西蘭和中國是完全不同的,中國學生需要一段時間來適應新西蘭的生活方式和可接受的行為。
一位說中文的監護人會被任命為學生提供以下服務:
‧有關新西蘭的生活方式、習俗和學校生活的講解和建議
‧抵步後協助開立銀行帳戶和購買的手機
‧於首兩個星期的學習,到學校探望學生
‧每學期一次到學校探望學生
‧每學期一次到寄宿家庭探望學生
‧每月發送書面報告予家長/代理
‧定期通過電話/電子郵件與學生聯絡
‧提供24小時緊急聯絡
‧當需要時安排到醫生/醫院就診
‧於新西蘭繼續留學的課業輔導
‧課堂紀錄監控
